The hottest baseball team on the planet is heading to Louisiana in 2024.

The Savannah Bananas will be coming to Baton Rouge's Alex Box Stadium on March 14-16, 2024. This is part of their 2024 Banana Ball World Tour.

This will be the zany team's only Louisiana stop. And it'll also be their only collegiate venue appearance of the year.

Now, if you've followed the ball club, you know how hot these tickets are. And just like Taylor Swift or Morgan Wallen, you'll have to get on a lottery list just for a chance to purchase tickets.

You can sign up for the Banana Ball Ticket Lottery List at this website.

There are three steps to joining the lottery (and hopefully getting tickets):

  1. Submit Your Info - This includes basic information like your name, email and phone number.
  2. Fan Authentication - Once you've submitted your information, they'll need to verify you're a real human being verified by your email address and then your phone number. (You'll only be able to sign up once.)
  3. Verification - After you've verified your contact info, you'll receive a confirmation email letting you know that you're eligible for the ticket lottery. Approximately two months ahead of the event you're interested in for 2024, you'll get updates as to how the random drawing will occur.

If you want a chance to purchase tickets, you'll need to join the Ticket Lottery List before it closes on December 1, 2023.

About the Savannah Bananas

If you haven't heard of this team by now, you probably don't have the internet.

The Savannah Bananas are an exhibition barnstorming baseball team based in Savannah, Georgia. The team was founded in 2016 as a collegiate summer baseball team and had a great deal of success, winning league championships three times.

However, after the growth of their alternative "Banana Ball" format, the team transitioned entirely to exhibition games against their partner touring team, the Party Animals, and other "challenger" professional teams.

"Banana Ball" includes many alternative rules to traditional baseball like no bunting, batters being able to steal first base and if a fan catches a foul ball, it's an out.

Their first "world tour" happened in 2021 and it was a smash.

In 2023, that world tour expanded to over 80 games in 33 different cities in 22 U.S. states.
