The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball team had an interesting trip to get to New Orleans due to plane issues and having to bus the whole way there.

The Tigers had the bases loaded with 2 outs in the bottom of the first but Jack Burk grabbed the ground ball with his bare hand and threw the ball to 1st base for the out to end the early threat. The Tigers would start the scoring in the bottom of the 4th inning when they got an RBI single and a 2 RBI single to go up 3-0.

The Cajuns would battle back the next half inning to chip into the lead. The Cajuns got a lead off walk and then Todd Lott hit a single to put 2 on. Handsome Monica would get on base with a double and sending 2 runs to the plate. Brad Antchak would get on base with a single and would have had an RBI that would have tied the game but Monica was thrown out at home. The Cajuns had their chances throughout the rest of the game to try to tie the game or go ahead including a triple by Brad Antchak in the 7th, but they couldn't get the runners home.  The Tigers ended up using 8 pitchers in order to beat the Cajuns.

Coach Tony Robichaux talked about the game after it ended. He said, "We couldn't get the right hits at the right time...We had some bad strikeouts." He mentioned the travel and if it affected the game. "We had a runner 90 feet from home...it had nothing to do with the travel."

The Cajuns will come home for a 3 game series against Arkansas State on Easter weekend, which starts on Thursday at 6 p.m. The game on Friday will begin at 6 p.m., and the game Saturday will begin at 1 p.m. The Cajuns will then head back to New Orleans for a matchup against Tulane.
