Two Same Day Robberies Pulled Off By One Crook

At approximately 2:00pm today Lafayette City Police responded to an armed robbery at the Hampton Inn on West Willow. Employees said the suspect initially asked about a room rate then produced a handgun and demanded money. The suspect fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.

At 2:30pm Police were called in response to a robbery at the Game Stop on Louisiana Avenue. The suspect brought merchandise to the counter once there he produced a handgun and demanded money. Once again he fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The same suspect is believed to have pulled off both robberies. He is described a black male wearing a light blue shirt and a fishing hat.
