The 14th-ranked Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns softball team will play a little later than originally anticipated on Sunday, as they look to win a regional for the 6th-consecutive season.

Louisiana, who defeated the top-seeded LSU Tigers, 4-2, in a winners bracket game in the Baton Rouge Regional at Tiger Park on Saturday, will return to action at 4 o'clock on Sunday.

You can hear all the play-by-play action on ESPN 1420 and espn1420.com, beginning with the pregame show at 3:45 pm.

Championship Sunday was scheduled to begin at 1:30 pm, but the Louisiana/LSU game, which began at noon on Saturday, but wasn't completed until after 8:30 pm, due to two long weather delays, forced a change in the regional schedule.

The Cajuns, who are now 47-6 on the season, will take on either LSU or McNeese St., who will battle in an elimination contest at 1:30 pm.

UL defeated McNeese St. on Friday, 6-0.

Should Louisiana win, they would advance to Super Regional play for the 6th-consecutive year, including the 7th time in 8 years, and the 8th time in the last 10 years.

Should the Cajuns lose, they would be an if necessary game on Monday, at a time to be determined.

There is more rain in Sunday's forecast in the Baton Rouge area.

The win over LSU on Saturday extended the Cajuns’ current win streak to 15 games, including 29 wins in their last 30 games, as well as 36 in their last 38.
