Is there one memory from your childhood that you will always remember? Riding your bike for the first time? Learning how to swim? Well, for these 3 college students, their memories are one in the same. They are all patients of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. They are also cancer survivors.

Ben battled leukemia as a child. He is now studying dietetics at UL. He will be job shadowing this summer at St. Jude and hopes to one day work there and give back to the patients fighting the same fight he did as a child.

Brennan also battled leukemia as a child and is now pre-med at The University of Louisiana at Lafayette and hopes is to attend medical school. Brennan's goal is to work for St. Jude as a pediatric oncologist.

Brittany's battle is a very close memory because just two years ago she was recovering from a bone marrow transplant. Today she is in the middle of clinicals at UL and hopes to be a nurse practitioner. Brittany says she wants to be able to comfort sick children the way the nurses at St. Jude did for her.

No one ever expects to hear that they or their children have cancer. Those are probably some of the scariest words for anyone to hear. However, these three young adults know that it doesn't always have to be so scary. They also know that they owe their lives to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. It is with your help that St. Jude continues to save lives. Every year, a St. Jude Dream Home is given away to a ticket buyer in hopes that St. Jude can continue to do just that.

We need your help Acadiana. If you would like to join in the mission that "no child should die in the dawn of life," please purchase your St. Jude Dream Home ticket today. You could win a house, but you WILL help to save the life of a child. Call 1-800-724-1918 or click here
