Walmart has just revealed its 2026 spin on Black Friday. The giant retailer has announced it will be splitting the former "one-time "saving event into "three different" saving events.

What Turned Black Friday Shopping Into A Cultural Event?

You know, back in the day, it was the thrill of the hunt, the shopping outside of normal hours, and the promise of great savings for a happy holiday that fueled us then. What fuels us now is the fact that we can't afford to pay for fuel, and there is now such a thing as online shopping. This means I can still wake up at 3 in the morning, but I don't have to leave my pajamas to do my shopping.

Still, retailers such as Walmart have to understand the current economic climate, and it looks as if the three-stage Black Friday strategy is designed to line up with when most of us get paid. Walmart has announced it will divide Black Friday savings into Early Black Friday, Black Friday Deals, and Cyber Monday.

Here is what you can expect from each of those savings events and what kind of savings you can expect to find. We do not have specific details on specific items. That information will be released later in November as retailers begin to hype their savings events.

Early Black Friday Deals Will Be Available at Walmart from November 12 -15

If you are one to beat the clock, you can actually start saving on these deals at 12:01 am Eastern Time which would be 11:01 pm Central Time; that's for shopping online. Local savings will begin at each store at 6 am on November 12th. If you are a Walmart+ member, you will be able to take advantage of hot "Deal Drops" beginning at midnight on November 12th. All other Walmart customers will be able to shop the remaining Deal Drops as of midnight on November 13th.

For Black Friday Deals, Walmart will offer those from November 23 - November 29. The deals will be available online at midnight and in stores beginning at 6 am. Again, Walmart+ members will have early access to hot Deal Drops. If you're wondering, the cost of a Walmart+ membership is $98 annually or $12.95 a month.

What Are the Cyber Monday Deals at Walmart.com?

We don't have specifics on merchandise, but we do know that Cyber Monday Deals will go live online at 12:01 on November 30, 2026. The deals are expected to be honored while they last or until December 2nd. Again, this is an online-only savings event.

We anticipate announcements in the next few days as to what Target, Costco, Amazon, and other major retailers will be offering as part of their holiday shopping promotions.
