Walmart has announced that in an effort to keep employees and customers safe, they will begin taking all employee's temperatures before they start their shift.

This a safety protocol that has been put in place in hospitals across Acadiana and the U.S. for weeks, and now Walmart will soon implement throughout the company.

The press statement says it will take roughly 3 weeks to get digital thermometers to all locations.

From KATC.com -

"Once the thermometers arrive, all employees will have their temperature taken before every shift. Those who have fevers of over 100 will be paid for the day and sent home. Any employees with a fever have been asked not to return to work until they go three straight days without a fever of over 100."
