Waste Drop Event Planned for Lafayette on Saturday
If you've got waste items at your house that you just don't know how to get rid of then this Saturday's Waste Drop Event presented by Lafayette Consolidated Government could be just what you've been needing to reclaim space in your garage or storeroom.
The event, for residents of the City of Lafayette and unincorporated Lafayette Parish, will take place at Brown Park off East Pont Des Mouton Road and at the Robicheaux Center on Eraste Landry.
The hours of the event are from 8 am until Noon. A driver's license providing proof residency will need to be presented before the items can be dropped off.
Some of the items that will be accepted during this waste collection event include furniture, appliances, carpet and padding, wood and metal, and tires. There will be a limit of five tires per person.
The event will also take large items such as barbeque pits, basketball poles and backboards, and other such household items that are difficult to be picked up curbside. The event will not be taking batteries, chemicals, compressed gas cylinders or equipment with gasoline-powered engines.
