2020 has brought a lot of changes for some of our most favorite events, and with the holidays almost upon us, we really really need some Christmas cheer. Stat. When I was growing up, nothing quite screamed 'The holidays are here!" like listening to Elvis Presleys Christmas Album. And I guess we weren't the only ones, because according to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) it has sold over 20 million copies worldwide, and that makes it the best selling Christmas album of all time. Whoa.

One of the Christmas events I look forward to every year is the official Christmas Lighting at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee. Normally people come from all over the United States to attend this fun event, but like a lot of things in 2020, it's been changed because of the coronavirus pandemic. This year the kick off to the holiday season will take place on Thursday, November 19th. Although it will still be streamed live from the lawn at Graceland, this year it will be virtual. So, even though you won't be able to travel to Memphis for the ceremony, you will be able to watch the whole thing live on the Graceland Facebook page starting at  6:00 PM CST. When the switch is flipped, it is always a dazzling reminder of the things that Elvis cherished most, his home, his family, and the holidays. And of course, his beloved fans.

You can watch last year's ceremony below, but be sure to tune in on Thursday, November 19th for this year's festivities, y'all. I'll be watching, for sure.
