Hot on the heels of the announcements that new Whataburger locations are coming to Youngsville and Breaux Bridge, today we learned a new location will soon be open in Opelousas.

Yes, soon the Opelousas area will be rejoicing over delicious Southern Bacon Double Cheese Burgers, Whataburger Patty Melts, Whatachicken Sandwiches, and much more.

According to Developing Lafayette, the new Whataburger restaurant will be located "on the southern lot of the new Billy’s Boudin property, which is under construction next door to Lowe’s Home Improvement retailer off I-49."

When Will Whataburger Open In Opelousas

The current plan is to have the new Opelousas Whataburger location open by the Fall of 2024.

Currently, there are 16 Whataburger locations in Louisiana.

Upon completion of the three new Acadiana locations, Whataburger will grow its Louisiana numbers to 19 locations.

But, with the recent expansion of Whataburger locations in Louisiana, we're sure that number will only grow as Louisiana's love for Whataburger does.
