When Will the Next Stimulus Checks Arrive?
Many of you are awaiting the arrival of the next round of federal stimulus payments. President Joe Biden is expected to sign the $1.9 trillion stimulus bill approved by Congress tomorrow. Once that bill is signed, the IRS will begin the process of sending out those checks.
So when will you see the money? According to the White House, the payments will go out "as soon as possible" after Biden signs the bill. NBC News reports that payments could got out "within days" of the Biden signing the bill.
People with direct deposit with the IRS will receive the payments first. Those without direct deposit will have to wait a few weeks to receive their stimulus checks in the form of debit cards or paper checks.
If you are an individual tax filer, you must have an adjusted gross income below $75,000 to receive the full $1,400 payment. If you file as a married couple, you must have an adjusted gross income below $150,000 to receive the full $2,800 payment. This does not include stimulus payments for children or dependents.
The next big questions: Exactly how much money will I receive in this round of stimulus payments? If you make above the thresholds mentioned above, you'd need a calculator to figure out how much money will be coming your way. The good news: Online calculators like this one can help you figure out exactly how much money you will get.
