Will History Channel Renew ‘Swamp People’ for Season 8?

All this year on History Channel's popular 'Swamp People', there have been rumors that the series would not be renewed. Some cast members were even fired, or at least not asked to return for the seventh season of life in the Louisiana swamps. They even had promos on the air stating it was the final season.

But, a new development has happened. On Thursday, April 28, Swamp People cast member Jacob Landry posted on his official Facebook page that History Channel was renewing the series for season 8.

And, according to the video above, the fans have spoken, and we couldn't be more happy for our alligator huntin' friends!

The season finale airs Monday night at 8:00 CST.
