Will Smith’s Widow Accepts Degree from University of Miami on His Behalf
The widow of former New Orleans Saints defensive end Will Smith has accepted his degree from the University of Miami nearly a month after he was shot and killed in a road rage incident in New Orleans.
Racquel Smith accepted the degree Thursday during a graduation ceremony in Miami.
A photo (seen below) shows Racquel sitting in a wheelchair and smiling as she's holding the diploma. She was shot twice in the legs during the April 9 altercation in New Orleans that killed her husband.
The popular Saints player was studying at the school's executive MBA program for artists and athletes when he died.
