Woman’s Body Found in Whiskey Bay

The body of an unidentified woman was found earlier this afternoon in Whiskey Bay.

Iberville Parish Sheriff's Office confirmed that the body of a young woman was recovered from the area. Officers believe that the body was dumped there recently.

Reports are that the body was discovered by a local fisherman.

Iberville Parish Sheriff's Office is currently working the incident as a homicide. The case is still under investigation.
