Artists Who Got Their Start in the Country Showdown

The very first Country Showdown was held in 1982, and we are proud to bring you America's oldest talent contest to Cowboys Night Club this Saturday, July 23!

Over the years, many now famous country stars have participated in this annual event, and some have gone on to fame and fortune on other talent shows as well - Carrie Underwood, Shelby Dressel, Carrie Joy Andreas, Deanna Freeman, and Kendall Phillips all went on to appear on American Idol. Chris Young and  Miranda Lambert were also contestants on Nashville Star.
