If you've attended classes in a public school in Louisiana you have heard someone utter this phrase. "There is no such thing as a stupid question". It's a great phrase and it's intended to foster learning. The phrase is far from being true though, isn't it?

Many of you will have to answer a stupid question from your boss, your spouse, your co-worker, a fast-food employee, or perhaps a policeman in the next hour. You'll answer it politely but in your heart you know it was a dumb question.

Just to clarify, there is a difference between a stupid question and asking questions about stupid things. Sometimes we just have to gain knowledge and the item or situation we need to gain knowledge for happens to be less than intelligent.

That's what these questions are all about. They are the kinds of questions that make us wonder and perhaps even discuss with our friends. But very seldom do we take that next step and seek an answer. We're doing that for you today.

Some of these questions really have no answer. The solution boils down to an opinion. Then again some of these questions might be considered to be borderline rants too.
