6 Of Our Favorite New Orleans Saints Songs [Video]
You can't have a party without music, right? Well, Saints fans have been having a party all season long and now we are bringing the music. There are certainly more than six New Orleans Saints themed songs so don't think this is anywhere close to a complete list. Here just happen to be six of our favorites.
The irony of all this is that the Ying Yang Twins are based out of Atlanta. They may be the only Atlanta people ever warmly welcomed into the friendly confines of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
This moment, this music, this magic will resonate with every Saints fan who has ever thrown a remote control at a television set. This was the concert featuring Green Day and U2 before the "Rebirth" when the Saints reopened the 'Dome against the Atlanta Falcons. I still get very misty-eyed when I watch this.
This is one of two songs entitled " I Believe" about the New Orleans Saints. This one is from the 80's and features Angela Bell on vocals. It has the vibe, the feel, the mojo, and the gris-gris of New Orleans. Yes, you will be singing along.
Here's the second "I Believe" This is from New Orleans based Cowboy Mouth. A band that has fostered a lot of good times in our part of Louisiana as well. This particular tune took off during the 2009 Superbowl run.
Here's Acadiana's contribution to the Saints Super Bowl party. The Saints Bandwagon from Lafayette's Bayou Boys. A jaunty little number that gets the toes tapping, the heart pumping, and really fosters the desire to suit up and hit somebody.
Okay, I saved the best for last. This is the original as far as I am concerned. I mean the New Orleans Airport is named after the man, right?
