Car Drives Off Parking Garage, Lafayette Couple Injured

A Lafayette couple is in a New Orleans hospital following an incident which took place at a parking garage in Metairie. According to WWL Television, the vehicle drove off the second floor of a parking garage on 26th Street. That garage was reportedly linked to a nearby hotel.

Witnesses say the vehicle fell from the second floor and landed roof side down on top of a travel trailer. The occupants of the vehicle 71-year-old Kim Bergeron and 73-year-old Dalton Bergeron from Lafayette were taken by ambulance to University Medical Center. Their condition was unknown at the time of this report.
