Passengers stuck on the Carnival Dream in St. Maarten are coming home today as the 4,363 passengers are being flown to Orlando later this morning. You may recall the story yesterday about the cruise ship being docked at the port there due to electrical and plumbing issues.

Carnival is now saying that a malfunction occurred when engineers were testing the emergency diesel generator on Wednesday while at port in St. Maarten in the eastern Carribean. That's when passengers began complaining about power outages and overflowing toilets.

One passenger describing the situation said that, “the bathrooms are not working, they’re backing up. The elevators have not been working. They’ve been turning them on and off. On and off."

Carnival Cruise Lines says that everything is now working, except the generator.

Passengers are getting a whopping 3 day refund and half off a future cruise.

I'm thinking that would not quite cut it for most of us. What would you want if you were on that cruise?
