Customers of the Central Louisiana Electric Company have been having issues over the past few days in paying their bills online. That issue has come up while CLECO is upgrading its computer systems. This has left many customers in limbo about what to do about paying for their electrical service.

The company has responded to those queries by offering a list of alternative payment options that customers might choose.  According to the company, a customer may visit a Cleco customer service office. If visiting after hours, payment can be dropped using the night deposit box connected to the building.

CLECO bills may also be paid at an authorized pay agent. Locations can be found at cleco.com. Or you may mail your payment into this address:

CLECO Power LLC

P.O. Box. 660228

Dallas, TX 75266-0228

The company also issued this statement regarding its inability to process online payments during the computer upgrade.

We understand some customers are unable to travel to a physical location to pay their bill or prefer to pay their bill using our online services. Cleco will waive late fees incurred on customer accounts between April 29, 2019, and June 17, 2019, and there will be no service disconnects prior to June 17, 2019. Furthermore, Cleco will never disconnect a customer’s service without notice.

Additional information on the status of online payment options can be found at the CLECO website or by visiting the Official CLECO Facebook Page.
