(KMDL-FM) - We rarely hear about prices of many things going down these days, and that trend continues with the latest news from Disney that ticket prices for its theme parks are going up soon.

The company announced on Wednesday that it would be raising its prices for tickets and annual passes.

Ticket Price Increases by Park

How much will Louisiana families pay more to visit Disney World in central Florida? Well, that depends on when you go. For example, one day single-park tickets for Magic Kingdom for the prime Christmas to New Year's stretch will go up 5%, crossing the $200 threshold; tickets will cost $209 plus tax.

At slower times of the year, the increase won't be as bad, with tickets increasing by about $5. The lowest-priced Animal Kingdom ticket remains the same at $110 plus tax.

The peak ticket for Disneyland in Anaheim, California, will increase by a sizable 8.7% and cost $224. The lowest-priced ticket for the slowest season is $104, but that's steadily increased since 2019.

Annual Pass Hikes for 2025

For those who pony up for annual passes, yep, those are going up too. Disneyland is raising the prices of the two most expensive Magic Key passes between 2% and 4% while Disney World will see two of four annual passes increase between $20 and $80.

Ways Families Can Still Save

There are still ways to save money with bundle discounts. A minimum 4-night package, which includes tickets and a room, can yield a discount of $250 per night for most trips from late February to late July 2025.
