New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees and his wife Brittany Brees are now co-owners of Walk-On's Enterprises after officially buying into a partnership.

Walk-On's Enterprises owns a chain of Walk-On's restaurant in Louisiana, with 2 locations in Baton Rouge, and one each in New Orleans, Lafayette, and others  in development in Lake Charles and Houma. The company also operates Happy's Irish Pub, which has 3 locations (Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Lafayette).

The company plans on continued expansion beyond local, and into the national market.

In a poll conducted by ESPN Mobile, Walk-On's was voted best sports bar in North America in 2012.

Brees is not a rookie to the restaurant business, as he currently owns five franchised Jimmy John's sandwich shops across the New Orleans metro area. He's active in the operations of each shop, and it appears he'll be active with Walk-On's as well.

“We’re not just passive investors. Brittany and I are committed to working closely with Brandon (Landry, co-owner) and the team to do whatever we can to contribute to Walk-On’s success going forward,” said Brees in a released statement. “I think we’re going to have a lot of fun, and celebrate a lot of wins, in the years ahead.”

Brittany is excited as well.

“Drew and I consider New Orleans to be our home now, so we love the idea of investing in a Louisiana-based brand that is so well respected in its industry,” Brittany Brees said in a statement. “We’ve done our homework and we truly believe Walk-On’s has the potential to become a successful national chain.”

For the time being, Brees' number one job is quarterbacking the New Orleans Saints. The 36 year old 9-time Pro Bowler and Super Bowl XLIV MVP will report to training camp on July 29th.
