Giant Omelette Festival – 5,000 Eggs and Counting!

Historic Magdalen Square in Abbeville will once again be the scene of the largest omelet in the USA.- 5,000 eggs, and one added for each year since the festival began. The 28th annual Giant Omelette Celebration this weekend includes a wide variety of activities, including Walk for Charity, Juried Art Show, Food Vendor, live entertainment, kid's world, Antique Implement Show, Antique Tractor "Egg Cracking" Competition, and so much more!

There's also the procession of chefs and a petite omelet cooking competition. But of the star of the show is the 5.028 eggs omelet, which is also fixed with 50 lbs of onions, 75 bell peppers and 50 lbs of butter! Woo! A great event for the whole family in beautiful historic downtown Abbeville!
