As of Monday, March 23rd at 5:00pm, Grand Isle State Park is closed to the public. The announcement was made by the Grand Isle mayor and town council. Visitors that had to leave have the option to transfer to another state park, at no charge, and all beaches and public areas are now closed. This follows on the heels of three other Louisiana State Parks that closed last week in the midst of the coronavirus epidemic across the state.
