Grocery Stores Making It Easy To Give Back During Holidays

Several grocery stores in Acadiana making it easy to give back during the holidays by offering pre-packaged food bags for purchase.

I stopped by Nunu's Fresh Market and saw that they have teamed up with Coca-Cola to help the Second Harvest Food Bank by offering the pre-packaged goods for just $10 per bag.

Nunu's is also serving as a drop-off location for Toys for Tots and has a box for donations of new or gently-used coats.

There are many people in our community who are less fortunate and in need. The food, the coats, and the toys will all help to make their holidays a little brighter.

If your favorite grocery store doesn't have a program to help a local food bank, ask them to get involved. If they choose not to, you can still purchase goods to donate to your local food bank.
