Iberville Parish Man Cashes In On $192K Lottery Ticket

A St. Gabriel man has a nice chunk of change in his pocket following a big win on a lottery ticket.

Moses Ware was a bit surprised to find out his winning ticket was worth nearly $200,000!

"I didn't know exactly how much I'd won after the cashier scanned my ticket and said I needed to visit the Lottery office," said Ware. "I was really surprised to later see that I'd actually won the jackpot!"

Ware won on an Easy 5 ticket matching all five numbers to win the $192,435 jackpot prize, which he claimed at the Louisiana Lottery headquarters.

After state and federal tax withholdings, he raked in a cool $136,628.85!

The winning ticket was sold at St. Gabriel Mart on Highway 30 in St. Gabriel, which is in Iberville Parish.

The store received a one-time selling bonus of $1,924.35, which is one percent of the prize.
