If You’re Going To Jazz Fest, Then Leave These Things at Home
We are blessed with many springtime celebrations here in Louisiana, and New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival is one of the biggest in the state. This year it will be held April 27 - May 6 at the Fairgrounds. Before you head to the Big Easy for the festivities, here's a couple of suggestions from NOLA.com about what is allowed inside the gates, and what is frowned on by security. And when we say 'frowned on', that means don't even think about trying to sneak these things in. Have a fun and safe festival, y'all!
- Alcohol and illegal drugs
- Firearms and any other weapons
- Athletic games - no footballs, soccer balls or beach balls
- Tents
- Wheeled transport devices - bicycles, skateboards, Go Peds
- Pets
- Inflatables
- Hard sided coolers - soft coolers are allowed, but can't be larger than a 12 pack size
- Wagons or carts
- Large chairs with rockers, foot rests or side tables
- Fireworks
- Open water bottles - you can bring bottled water in, but it has to be sealed
- Large beach umbrellas
- Glass
- Metal poles
- Audio and Video recording equipment - and I don't think they are talking about cell phones here
