It’s A Record! Woman Collects Over 600 Flamingos

Collections for some people it's coins, others enjoy stamps, key chains or spoons. For Sherry Knight of Lecanto Florida, her passion is in the pink, the pink flamingo. Sherry is the manager of a thrift store in Lecanto and has a prowess for procuring pink flamingos has placed her in the Guiness Book of World Records. 

According to Sherry her collection started about 30 years ago and her flock has grown by leaps and bounds. The real beauty of this story is that Sherry's thrift store, The Path Store, is a charitable organization that helps those in need in the Lecanto Florida area. Sherry says the hundreds of flamingos have always been great advertising for the store and now the record should only increase the traffic.
