Lafayette Optimist Club Hosts ‘Trick and Treats’ Friday & Saturday

Halloween weekend is here and there are some great kid and family friendly events going on throughout Acadiana. One of these gatherings will happen today and tomorrow (Oct. 28 & 29) as the Lafayette Optimist Club presents "Tricks and Treats".

The event takes place at 202 Optimist Club in Lafayette. (From I-49 take Gloria Switch east, a right onto Wilderness Trail, then left on Optimist Rd)

Admission is only $5 per vehicle and the festivities run from 6pm to 10pm.

There will be tons of games and activities, candy, a costume contest beginning at 7pm (children only) and haunted hayrides.

The haunted hayrides seem to be the highlight as you're invited to "ride through 1/3 of a mile on the scariest trail in the woods of Acadiana...if you dare!" Cost is $2 per ticket and rides begin at dark.

Concessions will also be available.

All proceeds from this event support the Lafayette Optimist Club and the Youth of Acadiana.
