It's a busy time in Louisiana, we've got the Super Bowl on Sunday in New Orleans. Mardi Gras parades are rolling from Lake Charles to Baton Rouge and even as far north as Alexandria and Shreveport. College Softball begins in Baton Rouge, Lafayette, and Lake Charles. Heck, there are even Clydesdales pulling beer wagons in Youngsville. And, last night, the Louisiana Lottery confirmed a huge $90,000 winning ticket was sold for the Wednesday night drawings.

Wednesday nights are big for lottery fans in Louisana. Not only do players have the chance to take home millions of dollars in the multi-state game Powerball. However, the Louisiana Lottery hosts drawings in Lotto and Easy 5 on Wednesdays as well.

Since Powerball had the largest jackpot, and based on available data, the most players let's review that drawing first. If you were caught up in the myriad of outside activities and did not get the chance to see the Powerball drawing as it happened. Here is what that looked like for Wednesday, February 5, 2025.

As host Randy Trainer revealed the Powerball drawing last night was for an estimated jackpot prize of $115 million. The lump sum or cash payout on jackpot win last night would have been $52.1 million.

Unfortunately, no one in Louisiana nor anywhere in the Powerball footprint will have to choose between annuity or lump sum because our sources at Powerball did confirm, that there were no tickets sold that matched the numbers needed to claim the jackpot prize.

There were also no Match 5 Million prizes awarded in Wednesday's drawing either. There was a $150,000 Powerball winner sold across the Sabine River in Texas but Louisiana players really got the cold shoulder from Powerball last night. The top prize for a Louisiana ticket was reported to be only $300 and only six tickets sold in the state earned that prize.

What Were The Powerball Numbers For Wednesday, February 5, 2025?

If you'd like to review your tickets and see if you were one of the few, very few winners in Wednesday Powerball in Louisiana here are the numbers that we saw roll out of the hopper.

19   27   30   50   62   Powerball 14   Power Play x3

If those numbers are reflected on one of your tickets you need to visit the Official Louisiana Lottery website or the Official Powerball website to confirm those digits and verify your prize. You can also find information on how to redeem any prize you might have won on those websites.

The Louisiana Lottery also held a drawing in the Lotto game. Lotto has not had a jackpot winner since October 26th of last year so the Lotto jackpot is quite sizeable. Last night players were hoping to match the numbers needed to claim $1.275 million. But no tickets sold for Lotto in Louisiana matched the numbers drawn.

You've probably deduced that since there was no big win in Powerball and no big win in Lotto the $90,000 payout on Wednesday must have come from Easy 5. Your deductive reasoning powers are great if you figured that out.

A ticket sold in Westwego matched all five of the numbers drawn in Easy 5 on Wednesday. The payout on that ticket will be $90,000. We are still working to get point-of-purchase details on where in Westwego the big winner was purchased but our sources at the Louisiana Lottery have not confirmed that aspect of Wednesday's win.

The lottery takes a night off tonight as far as "draw games" are concerned. Friday night Mega Millions will draw for $94 million. Then on Saturday Powerball will draw for $133 million. The figures for Mega Millions and Powerball are based on the estimated top prize for an annuitized jackpot.
