(Baton Rouge, LA) Wednesday night can be a lucrative night for lottery players in Louisiana. Not only does Louisiana participate in the multi-state Powerball game on Wednesdays, but the state also hosts drawings in the Lotto game and the Easy 5 game. In the case of last night, a player in Louisiana could have spent under $5 and been eligible to win more than $147.5 million in prizes.

Now, in order to have won all that money, you'd have to hit on all three games, Powerball, Lotto, and Easy 5, and this might come as a shock, but no one did that in Wednesday's drawings. Still, it's fun to think about.

Louisiana Mega Millions Winner Confirmed in Tuesday's Drawing

And speaking of thinking of big wins from the Louisiana Lottery we have learned that Tuesday's $40,000 winner sold for the Mega Millions game was purchased in Marrerro, Louisiana. The ticket was sold at the Lapalco Chevron on Lapalco Blvd. The big winner matched four of the five white balls and the Mega Ball.

And one other bit of housekeeping before we get to your Powerball, Lotto, and Easy 5 numbers from Wednesday. There is a $50,000 Powerball winner that is set to expire in less than a month. The $50k winner was purchased in Chalmette for the December 16th Powerball drawing. The big winner was sold at Meraux Food Store.

Now, on to the Powerball drawing for Wednesday, May 21, 2025.

Our sources at Powerball did confirm that no tickets sold for last night's game matched the numbers needed to claim the game's top prize of $146.7 million last night. So the jackpot will roll over for Saturday's drawing. In fact, the estimated jackpot on Saturday for Powerball will be $163 million for the annuity or $73.3 million for the lump sum payout.

While there was no jackpot winner in Powerball last night, there were three Match 5 Million prizes awarded. Those tickets that matched all five of the white balls but missed on the Powerball were sold in New Hampshire, Kansas, and Texas. Our neighbors at the Texas Lottery say the million-dollar winner in the Lone Star State was sold in McKinney.

What Were Wednesday's Powerball Numbers?

The Powerball numbers from Wednesday, May 21, 2025, were reported to be:

09   29   31   34   43   Powerball 02   Power Play x2

If you matched some of those numbers on your ticket, you can verify your prize at the Official Louisiana Lottery website. You can also get prize redemption details there. And you can check your Lotto numbers from Wednesday too.

Lotto from the Louisiana Lottery drew for a prize of $775,000 last night. There was no jackpot winner, but four tickets sold for the Lotto drawing earned $1,000 prizes. Oddly enough, the Lotto prizes were larger than any single prize won by a Louisiana-sold Powerball winner last night.

Your next chance at instant millions comes on Friday night with the next Mega Millions drawing. That jackpot prize is estimated to be $154 million for the annuitized jackpot or $69 million for the lump sum or cash payout.
