Big News For Louisiana As Powerball Ticket Nets $50,000

(KMDL-FM) The Louisiana Lottery has confirmed that a Powerball ticket sold in the state for the Saturday, June 27, 2026, drawing is a $50,000 winner. The big winner matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball.

The Powerball jackpot prize of $346.4 million was not won. That amount will grow to an estimated $360 million when the game is played again on Monday night. The $50,000 win in Powerball is the second big win in as many Powerball drawings for Louisiana players.

Why Haven't Louisiana Lottery Players Had Many Big Lottery Wins in June?

Up until this past week, players in the two multi-state lottery games available in Louisiana had not fared well as far as big money prizes are concerned. Mega Millions, the other multi-state lottery game in Louisiana, has never produced a jackpot winner in the state.

Saturday's other "big ticket" was the Lotto game. That Louisiana Lottery-sponsored game has not had a winner since April, and the amount of money in that game's jackpot is now estimated to be $2.375 million. There was an Easy 5 jackpot winner for $130,000 this past Wednesday, so that game's jackpot started at the reset amount of $50,000.
