British Man Reacts To Cajun Cooking

In Acadiana, we cook gumbo, sauce piquante, courtbouillon, rice and gravy, etouffee, and more without giving it a second thought.

Why would we? We know what we want to eat, and we know how to make it.

For those not accustomed to how we cook, it can be a little...jarring.

Just the amount of butter alone we use can send some folks into shock.

People just don't cook like we do in Acadiana, and we're ok with that.

British TikToker imjoshfromengland2 recently stumbled across a video posted by Louisianian Ralphthebaker cooking and sharing his recipe for delicious Cajun potato soup.

Josh from England had a hard time processing it saying -

"I'M SO CONFUSED RIGHT NOW AMERICA??!!

Is this actual food in America?"

Poor Josh just was not ready for all of the seasonings he was about to see.

If he got a chance to taste it he'd understand.

Obviously, growing up across the pond in England, Josh has never seen or experienced anything like a good ole Cajun potato soup, so this pretty much blew his mind.

Shout out to Ralphthebaker for the mouth-watering potato soup recipe!
