Lt. Governor Candidate Implicated In Harassment Case
There is nothing like a run for current political office to bring the skeletons out of the closet. Sometimes those skeletons are nothing but dry bones and of little substance. Sometimes those skeletons have plenty of meat left on the bone. Here is the situation. Lt. Governor hopeful Kip Holden has been included in a sexual harassment complaint.
The implication is that the Baton Rouge Mayor-President repeatedly sexually harassed a woman when she was in the state on business. The unique twist to the complaint is that no charges are filed against Holden. The charges are being filed against the woman's former company. Holden denies the implications brought forth in a 2011 lawsuit which was filed in Kansas City.
The candidate went on to explain that both he and his wife know the real truth behind the allegations. According to recent polls, Mr. Holden is currently running strong enough in the race for Lt. Governor to where most pundits believe he would be a run off candidate.
