Meet Twiggy The Water-Skiing Squirrel [Video]

Compared to her country cousins Twiggy the Water-Skiing Squirrel is living higher in the tree than most. From very humble beginnings Twiggy and her people, Chuck and Lou Ann Best, have come a long way. Twiggy was originally found as an orphan after Hurricane David passed through Central Florida in 1979. Twiggy was nursed to health and maturity and quickly became a family pet.

It was an offhanded comment by Chuck Best that started Twiggy on her road to stardom. Chuck joked to friends and family that he was going to teach the orphaned squirrel how to water ski. The rest as they say is history.

Twiggy will be bringing her very unique act to Acadiana as part of the Louisiana Outdoor Expo. You might have caught Twiggy in the Brad Paisley's video for Riverbank. She has also appeared in the major motion pictures Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story and Anchorman:The Legend of Ron Burgandy
