National Night Out – Shaking Out the Good Stuff
Residents of South Louisiana have been reminded recently of just how dangerous the job of protecting "we the people" can be. Just last week members of South Louisiana's law enforcement community had to lay one of their own to rest after he was fatally injured while on duty.
The life of an individual who chooses to work in law enforcement is never stress-free. But, with our help, we can "Shake out the Good Stuff" in our communities and help our local police and sheriff's departments do more when it comes to protecting us from those who would do us harm.
That's why we are choosing to shine the Shaking Out the Good Stuff spotlight from Morton Salt's Week's Island facility on August 6th. That will be on Tuesday. That day has been designated as National Nigth Out. It's an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.
Many law enforcement agencies across Louisiana and Acadiana will be participating by having officers patrol neighborhoods on foot or by hosting community events and gatherings. It is a great opportunity for parents to introduce their children to the officers that serve our community. It's also a great time for communities to let our officers know how much they are appreciated for the dangerous job they do.
Speaking of jobs, if you're looking for a better job try Morton Salt. They have some great jobs open at their Week's Island facility. You'll earn good money and you get to sleep in your own bed every night. Learn more here.
