Our friends in northern Louisiana have really taken a hit with all the rains over the last couple of days. Some portions of the hard hit area will have taken on over a foot of rain by the weekend.

So far, three people have died in Oklahoma, Texas and Louisiana.

In northwestern Louisiana, up to 80 homes and a nursing home had to be evacuated.

One man died and a woman was injured in Bienville Parish when the car they were in was swept off the road and into a creek by strong floodwaters.

As a result of the flooding rains, Governor John Bel Edwards has declared a state of emergency for several Louisiana parishes, and the National Guard was sent in to help.

The following video is raw footage from the Bossier Parish Sheriff Department as they were rescuing families yesterday.
