The parents of the missing boy from Evangeline Parish have now been arrested.

Paul Thibodeaux, 45, and Minette Thibodeaux, 45, of Point Blue, were booked earlier this afternoon into the Evangeline Parish Jail on the charge of Cruelty to Juveniles.

Around 2 am, their son, nine-year-old Bryson Thibodeaux, was found hiding in a neighbor's home.

However, Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services were immediately contacted after it was noticed how malnourished the child appeared to be. Additionally, his home living conditions were poor.

DCFS officials took custody of both Bryson and his eight-year-old sister. They remain in their custody.

KATC is also reporting that they've confirmed from two independent sources that an old human skull was found in a barn yesterday during the search for the missing child.

The skull is believed to be very old but that is all the information available at this point.
