Here's an "in case you missed it" story out of Pierre Part, Louisiana.

The assistant principal at Pierre Part Primary was arrested on Monday after it's alleged that she drove to work drunk. The kicker is that it was the school's annual alcohol awareness week!

A sheriff's deputy followed 49-year-old Rachel Turley to school after reports of a dangerous driver along Highway 70 in Assumption Parish. Upon arrival at the school, authorities determined she was intoxicated.

Turley was detained at the school and later arrested. Authorities say her blood alcohol level was .224, almost three times the legal limit of .08.

She was charged with DWI and careless operation.

Records show that Turley became the assistant principal at Pierre Part Primary in 2016.
