Earlier today a Plaquemines Parish man called New Orleans TV station WWL from his attic. Why? Well, he and his family had to climb up to avoid rushing waters in their home due to a breached levee.

Apparently the rising tide and storm surge breached a levee in Plaquemines Parish and waters rapidly began to rise in homes throughout the gulf-hugging area.

Reports from the parish are that homes have anywhere from 8-10 feet of water in them.

Let's pray that he and his family are rescued soon (or have been as of this report).
