Power Out In Parts Of Lafayette [Update]

UPDATE: As of 4:30 L-U-S says that 85% of affected residents have had power restored. They are still investigating what caused the outage.

We are still working with officials from L-U-S and law enforcement to determine the cause of the power outage. From listener reports via Facebook, the outage appears to be along and west of Bertrand drive.

Much of Ambassador Caffery Parkway was void of street lights and stop lights from south of Cameron to Dulles Drive. Traffic signals were not functioning and shopping centers were totally dark. Many of the retail areas appeared to have active police patrols maintaining visual security of the properties.
