Usually, we don't get to plan for when the lights go out. The darkness or the lack of ability to utilize the electronics that make up our daily routines often take us by surprise. For some members of the Jeff Davis Electric Co-Op, the power going off might still be an inconvenience but it shouldn't be a surprise.

The JDEC announced yesterday that they are planning an outage for some customers beginning Tuesday morning at 9 am. The customers affected are those that live on the following streets.

  • Nick Martone Rd.
  • Bull Whip Dr.
  • Wrangler Dr.
  • South 40 Ct.

Officials say the outage is scheduled to last for about four hours. The reason for the outage is so that crews can make repairs to the Manchester Substation. Should you have questions or concerns those need to be made to the Jeff Davis Electric Cooperative by calling toll free 1-800-256-5332.
