We say frustration because technically, tickets sold in Arizona, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and three in New York missed a billion-dollar payday by one number. Seventeen different tickets earned that amount, while another 60 tickets earned a prize of $100. All in all, just estimating the rough numbers, it looks as if almost 20,000 tickets sold in Louisiana for Powerball were winners last night.

Louisiana Lottery Confirms Jackpot Winner on Wednesday Night

No, the Powerball game did not provide Louisiana's largest lottery win last night. That honor goes to the Easy 5 game, which not only got a jackpot winner but also got two jackpot winners. Our sources in Baton Rouge tell us that two tickets matched all the numbers needed to claim the Easy 5 jackpot of $130,000. The money will be divided evenly between the two winners.

Lotto did not get a jackpot win last night; that game will play for a top prize of $675,000 on Saturday.
