Powerball Winner: Single Ticket Wins $204.5 Million

(Baton Rouge, LA) Saturday night is a big night for lottery games across Louisiana. The Louisiana Lottery draws for two in-state games, Lotto and Easy 5. And, there is the multi-state lottery game Powerball that also hosts one of its bi-weekly drawings on Saturday.

The past few months have been fairly kind to Louisiana Powerball players. State-sold tickets have claimed $100,000 prizes in Lake Charles, $50,000 prizes in Chauvin and Kenner. And that's just Powerball. The Louisiana Lottery confirmed a $190,000 Easy 5 winner out of Jennings last week. So, I think it is safe to assume that Lady Luck is spending some time along the bayou.

What Were The Powerball Numbers Drawn on Saturday Night?

We've already told you there was a jackpot winner in Powerball last night for the $204.5 million jackpot prize. Let's see if that's you. Here's how the drawing played out for Saturday, May 31, 2025.

There were quite a few big wins associated with Saturday's Powerball drawing. There was a single ticket that matched all the numbers needed to claim the game's top prize of $204.5 million. That big winner was sold in California.

There were two Match 5 Million winners sold for Saturday's drawing as well. Those big-money tickets were sold in Florida and New Hampshire. Not only did those winners "Match 5" for a million dollars, but both tickets invoked the Power Play option of the game to make their total prize winnings $2 million each.

As far as Louisiana wins go, the Louisiana Lottery shows a $200 win as the largest prize generated by a state-sold ticket for last night. Meanwhile, the Powerball jackpot will reset for Monday night. Monday's prize will be $20 million.

What Were the Lotto and Easy 5 Numbers Drawn on Saturday Night?

There was no jackpot winner in the Louisiana Lottery's Lotto game. That jackpot will climb to an estimated $875,000 on Wednesday night. The Easy 5 game, fresh off a $190,000 win last week, did not get a jackpot winner in Saturday's drawing. However, 17 tickets were sold for Easy 5 on Saturday, earning a prize of $100 each. If you think about it, that's a "100x" win on a one-dollar play.

Tuesday's Mega Millions will now become the hot ticket as far as big bucks lottery games in Louisiana. The jackpot for Mega Millions on Tuesday will be $202 million.
