Residents of the St. Martin Parish town of Henderson will be going to polls later this year to decide who will lead their community into the new year and the new decade. In order to elect leaders, we'll first need some candidates. Those wishing to throw their hat in the ring will want to make sure they are aware that qualifying for municipal offices in Henderson will begin next week.

Those wishing to enter the races for mayor, chief of police, and five council seats will need to be getting their paperwork in order. Qualification for those races will open Wednesday, January 8th, and end Friday, January 10th.

Those wishing to become candidates will need to do so at the Clerk of Courts Office on those specific days next week. The election for those offices is set for April 4th.
