This morning, Drew Brees issued a lengthy apology regarding his controversial comments about NFL players kneeling during the National Anthem. Teammate Demario Davis has responded to Drew's apology saying "For him to admit that he was wrong.. I think that is leadership at its finest."

Davis tells CNN that what he and other players from around the league had initially hoped was that Brees would have elaborated more about racism and the sentiments of the black community. As Davis says, and Drew admits in his apology, Brees "missed the mark".

Demario Davis goes on to say that because Brees understands and admits that he needs to do better, it's a model for all of America.
