Saints RB Pierre Thomas Fined $12,500 For TD Celebration
We all watched it Monday night. Pierre Thomas scored the Saints' first TD against Atlanta and promptly pulled out a bow, stuck it on the football and handed it to a fan.
Do you know the NFL sometimes stands for the No Fun League?
The "fun" Thomas had will make his pockets $12,500 lighter as the NFL fined him today. $7,500 of it is for the celebration and the other $5,000 for the green and red tape he wore on his black and gold uniform.
Thomas says he's still happy he "gave a lucky fan a wonderful gift." He says he'd noticed the woman in Saints gear behind the end zone and figured she deserved it.
Geez, I think I look deserving of a bow and football all year long!
