The New Orleans Saints have signed a former Breaux Bridge and LSU Tigers linebacker Lamar Louis, according to his Instagram account and multiple media reports. Louis was signed to the Saints practice squad, not active roster.

Louis was a star running back and linebacker at Breaux Bridge high before playing solely at linebacker for LSU from 2012-2015, starting games in his freshmen season.

He signed as an undrafted free agent with the Arizona Cardinals, making their 53 man roster to begin the 2016 season, and was active for their season opener.

However, he was waived with an injury designation in September to, coincidentally, make room for former LSU defensive back and Eunice product Tharold Simon.
