Much of Louisiana is under the gun as we wait for the exact path of a potential tropical storm or low-category hurricane.

Whatever level of intensity it hits us at, portions of south Louisiana could get flooding rains over a relatively short period. So, now is the time to prepare.

If you live in Lafayette Parish, sandbag locations are already up and running.

All of the locations below are self-bagging, and residents must bring their own shovels and manpower. (Bags are available on site.)

LAFAYETTE CITY AND PARISH SANDBAG LOCATIONS

  • 400 Dugas Road (located off North University Avenue)
  • 130 Park Lane (Picard Park)

Bags Per Household

  • Please limit sandbags to four bags per exterior door
  • Maximum of 20 sandbags per household
