How rampant is food insecurity in Louisiana? According to statistics about 683,110 people in our state go to bed each night not certain of when they will have their next meal. Of those 683 thousand plus individuals, some 234,120 are children. Those numbers mean that roughly one in every seven people in Louisiana has food insecurity.
